Notifications
Pult tells you about a failure with a push to the app on your iPhone and Mac and, if you connected it, in Telegram. Where and when to send alerts is set in the dashboard, under Notifications.
Push alerts on iPhone and Mac
- Connect the app to your account (how).
- Allow notifications when the app asks. If you declined, turn them on in iOS or macOS Settings: Notifications → Pult.
- The device gets alerts from every server and service in the account. Each alert is encrypted for that device alone.
Telegram
In the dashboard: Notifications → Connect Telegram. Scan the QR code or send the bot a command with the code. Alerts can come to you personally, to your team's group or to a channel. Telegram messages are not end-to-end encrypted: Pult and Telegram can see them.
When an alert comes
- Once a failure is confirmed, not over a random blip: checks run as often as your plan allows.
- That it's back up: right after the first successful check.
- If a server sends no data for 3 minutes: a "server is silent" alert.
- About degraded service (it works, but badly): only if you turned on "Alert about degraded service too".
Check that alerts get through
Dashboard → Notifications → Send a test alert: it arrives on every connected device and in Telegram. If it doesn't, check notification permissions and Focus mode on the device, then write to us.
